- 1 heaping tablespoon heavy cream (or evaporated milk)
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 or 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
- Place caramel pieces and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth; set aside.
- Combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and sea salt in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until melted and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
- Pour half of the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Pour melted caramel over the chocolate layer and spread gently.
- Top with remaining chocolate mixture.
- Use a knife to gently swirl layers together.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours or until fully set.
- Slice into squares and serve.
Notes
Toast pecans for extra flavor. Use medium heat when melting chocolate to prevent seizing. Allow fudge to fully set before cutting for clean squares.
